now how exactly does AB qualify as PvP experience?

AB=farming, just instead of farming for loot you farm for factions, and instead of farming purely mobs you farm mobs(AI in shrines) with some pesky players running around with awkard builds.

there is the odd guild group that actually tries to play AB PvP style but they're a minority...

but than again, AB is still funny and a good place to relax in. nothing too serious and a good place to pass time stresslessly.

I AB for the purpose of refining my character's abilities, like you said, and the thrill of running into three people, living, and killing them all. Amazes me how dumb some people can get to not bring self heals with no monk...

Also, i enjoy PvP, but cbf to be forced into playing some wiki build for a high-ranked HA team, or the same for a GvG team. i just dislike high-end pvp like that, so it leads to AB.

Its a great place for a noob ranger like myself to practice basic PvP skills like kiting, interrupting etc. that don't apply to PvE (meaning that i usually don't get practice)
